Reading the wind in three steps
A short guide to accurate shots in strong wind.
Step one: direction and strength
The wind number at the top shows the strength and the arrow shows the direction. Tailwind stretches a shot, headwind shortens it.
Step two: flight time
The longer a projectile stays in the air, the more the wind moves it. In strong wind, flatter shots with more power are more accurate.
Step three: correct from your last shot
Use the dotted line of your previous shot as a reference. If the wind changed, adjust only the power by the amount the wind changed.
Hold Shift for finer angle and power changes.
